Cnidários da Amazônia

Cnidarians are cosmopolitan animals. They have a greater distribution in marine environments, but are also present in fresh or brackish water environments, such as the Amazon region. There are few records of cnidarians for this region of the country, and it is still unclear who makes up the cnidofauna of the Amazon region. Most of the species that are present in the Amazon (with the exception of corals) belong to the Myxozoa group. Myxozoans are endoparasites that can infect various organs of different organisms, especially fish, and have high specificity.
