Informações sobre o contexto da dramaturgia em Atenas no século V a. C. são fundamentais para compreender os textos remanescentes dos dramaturgos gregos antigos. Neste artigo, a partir de pesquisas mais recentes que aproximam Estudos Clássicos e Estudos Teatrais, são apresentados dados básicos sobre espaço, som e forma dessa dramaturgia. Para exemplificar esta contextualização, há referências aos textos de Ésquilo.
