Abstract

Discussions involving the importance of extension curricula at universities have been growing. However, the implementation of the extension in the is scarce. The literature points out pedagogical advantages and greater development of social responsibility when the academic gets involved in extension projects. In view of this, the present work addresses an experience report that aimed to propose an activity to promote the dissemination, discussion and reflection on university extension through the elaboration of an extension project proposal. The same was carried out as part of the Psychology of Education discipline in two undergraduate courses at the State University of Northern Paraná in which students were divided into groups and were supposed to prepare a project proposal. As a result, 75 students participated in the activity. Some students were unaware of the role of university extension, but after the action in class they were able to present their proposals. The professors involved believe that this action was useful to introduce notions of university extension for students, especially those in the first year.
