The present study is a report of the experience of professionals from a Family Health Team that partnered with a municipal public school in the interior of Ceará to conduct workshops on sexual and reproductive education. The activities aimed to foster discussions on the importance of an appropriate approach to sexuality, involving the participation of parents, students, and teachers in the school environment. The goal was to raise awareness about the importance of sexual and reproductive education in the classroom. Each stage of the workshops involved the participation of parents, adolescents aged 13 to 15, and teachers from the respective classes. The results indicated that parents and adolescents were receptive but minimally involved in the workshops, as both groups had many fears and difficulties discussing the subject within their families. Meanwhile, most teachers took advantage of the opportunity to express their doubts and barriers in addressing the topic in the classroom.
