Educational actions at environmental and human health: puppets theater and dengue

Abstract

Diseases transmitted by vectors are an important cause of morbidity in Brazil and the world. Health education is an important strategy for the promotion and prevention of
these diseases. The objective of this project was to take information about waterborne diseases and vectors in a playful and easy-to-understand way, aimed at the children’s learning, so that they become disseminating information. Through the puppet theater, it was possible to inform several children of public education and spread awareness of important diseases that affect the population of the region.
