Intersection between psychoanalysis and public care: psychological counseling to adolescents from CEPEA / UFG

Abstract

The present work has the goal to discuss the experiences gotten by the clinical assistance to adolescents of an extension project from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), which is coordinate by the Professor Dr.ª Marcela Franca de Almeida, called Psychological assistance to adolescents from NECASA which has begun in 2011. Those assistances occur with psychoanalysis method orientation, that has as only rule the free association of words said by the patient, combine with the listening of a floating attention by the psychology student. In addition to the assistance, there is also study groups and weekly supervision to discuss the clinical sessions. The works show that psychoanalysis is extremely rich to work in a public context. This turned possible to discuss around the relation between the psychoanalysis theory and its method, and also a better understanding about the adolescents conflicts in a social context that denies their suffering.
