Archeology and heritage education: experiences in university extension contexts

Abstract

We intend to introduce some trajectories of experiences in Archeology and Heritage Education within the university extension, in this article. The experiences described here were developed in the city of Rolim de Moura, in the Federal University of Rondônia, as also in two rural schools of the county. The actions exert themselves in creating dialogues space to think the archeology and heritage education in the region. The extension action was justified for significant amount of archeological findings in the region, this way there is “a lot of talk about it”, which required spaces for dialogue between the academic knowledge and knowledge of the local residents of the region, in a dialogic proposal to think the subject. The theoretical foundation for the realization of the action was guided on archaeologists’ and anthropologists’ works that have developed researches in the region, as also in researches developed within the memory and heritage.
