It’s noticed that the theme is still little known and discussed among health professionals and the population as a whole, where evidence is prejudice that falls should be seen as a natural and inevitable condition in the elderly. The work in the cities of Petrolina and Juazeiro-BA covered a number of areas covered by the Health Strategy of the Family and intervened directly and indirectly more than 20,000 people, promoting the empowerment of seniors, families and caregivers on measures prevention of falls.
