Tecnical Assistance and Rural Extension in the Municipality of Petrolina, PE: The Case of CODEVASF

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the public policy Technical Assistance and Rural Extension in Petrolina municipality. First, it is a literature review on the development of the subject, comprising the problems involved with the theme, a small digression on its historical process and relevant legislation to the period. It is conducted case study for evaluation of policies in practice, the chosen agency for case study was the Development Company of the São Francisco and Parnaíba (CODEVASF), a public enterprise of the Federal Government under the Ministry of National Integration - MI.
