Abstract

The intention of this work was to try to understand, using qualitative research accompanied by the researcher's perspective and papers from the areas of Education and Physical Education, how the practice of Physical Education is developed in the Rural School of Massaroca and how this practice is aligned with the contextualization model in a purely rural context. Once the school's education model is defi ned in thematic blocks that valorize the students' knowledge and work with local potential, including the community in the context of the school and the themes that are dealt with there, Physical Education cancontribute to improve education, especially since it is already viewed as an important element in the process of student formation.
