Abstract

The Continuing Health Education (EPS) is based on meaningful learning and the possibility of transformative practices. The health and environment should be subject to health actions aimed at understanding the behavior of environmental factors interfere directly in the health- disease. The purpose of this extension project was to promote the continuing education of health professionals for interdisciplinary teams of health strategy units of the Family (ESF) on "Infection Prevention Acute Respiratory (ARI) in children under two years in relation to the variables climate ", Rondonopolis (TM) 2016. As a methodology EPS was performed in 32 units. There were 214 professionals who evaluated the project as positive, suggesting actions to be developed in practice. Thus, university extension has contributed to the professionals' knowledge, which can consequently promote health in order to reduce the number of ARI cases and improve the quality of care and life of this population.
