INSTRUMENTAL BASIC MATHEMATICS (IBM): AN EXTENSION PROJECT OF THE PROFOS/UFRJ

This paper is an experience report of the extension project Instrumental Basic Mathematical (IBM), part of the Continuing Education Program of Public Servants of the Dean of Extension of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). The main objective of this action was to provide the participant with the opportunity to resize their mathematical knowledge and skills, as well as to improve their ability to mobilize them in order to contribute to their quality of life and, consequently, to the fulfillment of institutional interests. Carried out through the distance education modality (EAD), its evaluative activities consist of discussions in the Virtual Forum and the accomplishment of Weekly Tasks and a Final Course Work. The results showed that there is a general satisfaction with the course, however, suggest the need to extend its duration and deadlines for the activities.
