PERCEPÇÕES DISCENTES SOBRE EXTENSÃO UNIVERSITÁRIA NA UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DA PARAÍBA

This article presents a historical incursion about the Córdoba Movement and its guidelines, as elements of struggle for Brazilian youth in the dictatorial period and the achievements for understanding the university as a place of diversity, concomitantly, emphasizing the late creation of the university on the ground and the impasses experienced by the student movement during the dictatorship. The methodological path used to obtain the data was: observation, documentary and bibliographic research and the semi-structured interview and critical analysis of the information, based on the content analysis of Bardin (2011). We point out that extension is the main factor that contributes to student permanence.
