LUDARTE: HEALTH EDUCATION OF STUDENTS IN A RURAL SCHOOL THROUGH POPULAR THEATER, EDUCATIONAL MUSIC AND CHAPBOOK.

ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION: This article contains results of the PIBEX 2019 extension project. OBJECTIVE: Promote and contextualize health education for the benefit of school adolescents, through popular theater, educational music and chapbook. METHODOLOGY: The stages were: selection of participants, training workshops, formation of working groups, creation, rehearsals and presentation. The evaluation of immediate learning was performed through a test, containing 5 multiple-choice questions. Statistical analysis was performed using means, percentages and when comparing the variables, Pearson's chi-square test (p <0.05). RESULTS: Participants produced a play, a chapbook and two musical parodies. 52 students participated in the tests with ages varying from 10 to 15 years old. The pre-test average was 6.2 and the post-test average was 7.7. There was statistical significance when comparing gender with previous knowledge and after presentation, in questions 4 and 5, respectively. The girls demonstrated greater knowledge about illicit drugs and depression. CONCLUSION: The approach of different themes, with different instruments and the participation of different actors, innovated the teaching-learning process with community interaction.
