SCIENTIFIC DISSEMINATION ABOUT NANO SCIENCE AND NANOTECHNOLOGY THROUGH AN INSTAGRAM PAGE FOR SCIENCE TEACHING

This study aimed to plan and structure interesting, interactive, and visually appealing digital teaching resources for scientific dissemination on Nanotechnology and Nanoscience (N&N), mainly linked to the topics of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, and aimed at a diverse audience in São Raimundo Nonato-PI. The digital materials created were disseminated through an Instagram page, @nanoeduca_univasf. It is worth mentioning that this research is the result of an extension project approved by PIBEX/PROEX call for proposals No. 01/2022, developed from April to December 2022. In this study, a netnographic analysis was carried out on the Instagram page created, investigating how the use of textual, imagery, and audiovisual resources can contribute to Scientific Dissemination on topics related to N&N. We sought to bring scientific knowledge closer to the reality of the audience that followed and followed the aforementioned page, mostly academic, arousing interest in Science and collaborating with the process of disseminating scientific knowledge. We conclude from the research that digital platforms, such as Instagram, are promising tools for scientific dissemination, and can become allies or even a pedagogical bridge between Science and people in general.
